RB1599-1600
Host:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
human
Buffers:
Purified rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column and eluted out with both high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately after elution then followed by dialysis against PBS.

Maintain refrigerated at 2-8ºC for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20ºC. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Application:
Tested by peptide-specific ELISA (1:1,000).
Immunogen:
KLH conjugated synthetic peptide comprised of amino acids 107 - 120 [CGGDDKAKKARIAM] of the human claudin 7 protein.
Accession number:
NP_058583
Description:
The claudin superfamily consists of at least 18 homologous proteins in humans. These proteins are important structural and functional components of tight junctions in paracellular transport. Complexed with two other integral transmembrane proteins, occludin and junctional adhesion molecule, claudins are located in both epithelial and endothelial cells in all tight junction-bearing tissues. Defects in claudins are causatively associated with a variety of human diseases, demonstrating that claudins play important roles in human physiology. In man, Claudin 7 deficiency causes a form of neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis (NCL), a recessively inherited neurodegenerative disease that features blindness, seizures, and cognitive decline.
