Tested by peptide-specific ELISA (1:1,000).
Immunogen:
KLH conjugated synthetic peptide comprised of amino acids 323 - 337 [IRSGVQRSPPRRASS] of the human Baculoviral IAP repeat-containing 5 (BIRC5) protein.
Accession number:
NM_001168
Description:
Baculoviral IAP repeat-containing 5 (BIRC5) is a member of a family of proteins that inhibit apoptosis by binding to tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factors TRAF1 and TRAF2, probably by interfering with activation of ICE-like proteases. BIRC5 is an apoptosis inhibitor which is expressed during the G2/M phase of the cell cycle. BIRC5 associates with the microtubules of the mitotic spindle and any disruption results in the loss of apoptosis activity.
Alternative Name(s):
